Most of the crowd calls him a 'Jew lover' and they upturn. I understand that a movie can't be made including every little detail or even aspect of a book but my goodness I think this one was one of the worst. I dont even see how it could be called the book thief from the movie. but seeing as I did read the book, I am sorely disappointed. Perhaps I would have liked the movie had I not read the book. The movie changed the whole entire book-they took out all of my favorite parts in the book, they changed the order in which events happened, and Liesel "borrows" books?! What? A few of my favorite parts from the novel: Liesel and Max's nightmares and how that brought them together Liesel and Rudy stealing food the parade of Jews and Hans giving a piece of bread to a Jew WHY Rudy and Liesel's fathers were forced to go away to war Rudy and Liesel sneaking to give Jews bread in another Jew parade just like Hans had previously done HOW/WHY Hans survived the truck flipping over in the war the WHOLE ENTIRE accordion story and how Hans survived the first war he was in uhhhhhh, as you can see I am going on a rant right now. The Book Thief (2013) Action, Drama, War. ![]() I think The Book Thief isn't as good as so many people say, but that is just my opinion. So, The Book Thief already wasn't my favorite book-it was pretty good I gave it three stars. ![]()
